What this site can give you, and what it cannot
This page sets out the conditions for using roroto and the limits of its responsibility. Continuing to use the site means you accept them.
What the service is
roroto is a set of file tools that run entirely inside the browser — 44 of them at present, covering PDF, images and text. Access is free, needs no account and nothing to install.
The service is provided as is. We try to keep it working well, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or that any particular tool will stay online: tools may be changed, replaced or withdrawn, without notice.
Check the result yourself
A browser is not a typesetting program. Conversion, compression, OCR and font embedding behave very differently from one file to the next, and a different tool chain can shift text, soften images or change pagination. Before processing anything important — a contract, an ID document, a financial statement — keep the original, then open the result and check page count, text and sharpness.
Nothing is stored in the cloud here, so nothing can be recovered for you.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site makes no warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
The site is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service — including damaged files, lost content, interrupted work or lost profit.
Some jurisdictions do not allow implied warranties to be excluded; where that applies to you, the exclusion above does not apply either.
Your responsibility
Only process files you have the right to process. The site must not be used to circumvent copyright protection or technical measures on someone else's work, to forge or alter documents, receipts or contracts, to strip rights-management information from documents you do not own, or for any other purpose unlawful where you are.
You are responsible for what you process and for how you distribute the result.
Third-party components
pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip, Tesseract.js, heic2any and qrcode-generator are used under their respective open-source licences; copyright remains with their authors. This site only bundles and calls them in the browser.
No accounts, no copies
There is no account system and no server that receives files. That means we hold none of your files — and also that nothing lost can be recovered.

Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the tools change. The version on this page is the one in force, with the date shown at the end. Continued use after an update counts as acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the site is operated. If something goes wrong, email first — almost everything is settled in one exchange.
